About Long Hill Chapel
Long Hill Chapel is a Christian & Missionary Alliance church located in Chatham, NJ.
We hope that as you join us here, you feel known, loved and needed.
We declare our commitment to pursue the presence of God in our personal lives and together as a church.
I will not settle for a shallow faith, instead I invite Christ to make his home in my heart as I trust in Him. My roots will grow down into God’s love and He alone will keep me strong. (Ephesians 3:16-19)
We renounce the spirit of fear in all of its forms, instead we receive God’s Spirit as His adopted children, and we will operate in His power, love, and discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7 Romans 8:15-16)
We proclaim that our worship, giving and service at Long Hill Chapel is all for God’s glory.
We declare our commitment to live as the Family of God.
Just as Christ has loved me, so I will love others; I will do all I can to live in peace with everyone. I commit to resolving conflict Biblically as an agent of reconciliation. (John 15:12, Romans 12:18, Matthew 18:15-17, 2 Corinthians 5)
We renounce divisions, factions, and self-interest; instead we will do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. In humility, we will value others above ourselves, not looking to our own interests but to the interests of the others. In all our relationships with one another we will have the same mindset as Christ Jesus. (Philippians 2:3-5)
We will dwell in unity as brothers and sisters in Christ, spurring one another on toward love and good deeds. (John 17, Hebrews 10:25)
We declare our commitment to expanding the Kingdom of God.
I will actively demonstrate and proclaim the good news about the Kingdom of God with boldness and without hindrance. (Acts 28:31)
We renounce pride and self-sufficiency, instead we resolve to humbly serve because Jesus came to serve and give His life as a ransom for many. (Matthew 20:28)
Together, we receive the power of the Holy Spirit and will be bold witnesses of the good news of Jesus in our communities, jobs, families, both in our region, and around the world. (Acts 1:8)
